2024 - Colorado, Oregon, Arizona
This was a rare working holiday to the USA, with side trips for fun. I loved getting paid to visit Colorado (my job was based there). And I was able to visit Mom in Arizona! And the side trip to Oregon was very special, not just because I was able to hang out with such cool people, but also because I was inducted into the Footbag Hall of Fame! Here's my Speech. What a fabulous experience! I am truly honored by this recognition. We made another side trip, to Las Vegas to see a band called The (Grateful) Dead at a venue called the Sphere. Wow. What a show! Here's a Video. This is the world's largest LED screen, and it's just amazing! I've always been a so-called Dead Head. Indeed, I was the guy selling Hacky Sacks (my brand was called Funky Footbags) as a side hustle when I wasn't working I.T. jobs. This is one of the reasons why I was voted into the HoF, because I sold so many footbags. I have always been so enthusiastic about this sport! #BringBackTheHack!
I visited the USA just before the orange menace allegedly won the 2024 election. I don't want to talk about him. All I can say is, "Booooo!" ... This is the beginning of the end of the golden age of the USA, that moment in time between winning World War 2 and now, when for a while the government had the fleeting opportunity to lead the whole world to be better. They failed. Despite missing my friends and family, at least I get to visit. I have never been happier that I bailed to New Zealand.
