Globalocity is about an American who embarks on an expedition to elsewhere, but he gets off to a bad start: a TSA agent arrests him at LAX. A sympathetic officer lets him go, but the incident begs the question: why is he flagged as a security risk?
Raymond meets monks, wanna-be suicide bombers, and gorillas. He learns about artificial intelligence, evolution, and sacred cows. He falls in love. He also discovers that his father lied about his inheritance; the money came from a Swiss bank account. But Globalocity is not about Pops' big lie. It's about Raymond's search for something more. God? Define God. Full-moon party in Thailand? Yes! Raymond develops a "Trained Ape Theory" to explain humans (some apes are trained better than others). And what about Pops? Why did he lie? Was he trained by the CIA?
